Efacec, partner of DS TECHEETAH, congratulates the team and the Portuguese driver, António Félix da Costa, for the victory in the 2020 edition of the Formula E Championship organized for electric cars by the Federation Internationale de l’Automobile.

These distinctions are the result of true teamwork where everyone’s effort allowed this achievement, which confirms the potential of both the vehicle, the drivers and the solutions presented in the field of electric mobility. Although there are still two races left for the end of the Formula E championship, Félix da Costa and DS TECHEETAH have already secured their respective titles, both individually and by teams. Jean-Eric Vergne, also from the same team, secured the second place in individual terms.

Ângelo Ramalho, Efacec’ s CEO, considers that the partnership with DS TECHEETAH is a “natural extension of Efacec’ s DNA, clearly associated to innovation and technology. The company’s strategic investment in the development of sustainable mobility solutions has proven to be a success, with Efacec being recognized today, worldwide, as one of the pioneering and leading companies in the electric mobility and light rail sector, both for the technology and services we provide”.

Sandra Pombo, Efacec’ s Brand and Communications Director, says that the brand’s presence in Formula E, was seen from the first moment “as the opportunity to be present in the largest electric mobility platform today. Efacec’ s Purpose is “Designing a smarter future for a better life”, so associating ourselves to initiatives that translate our Purpose in an objective way demonstrate Efacec’ s active participation in creating a more sustainable future as part of our brand strategy”.

António Félix da Costa affirmed that it is with great pride that he wears the Efacec logo on his suit and his car, adding that “there is a great support to come from this side. So, thank you very much. This victory is ours.”

Efacec’ s presence in Formula E has three fundamental objectives: projection and brand positioning, wide business development around the world and not exclusively in electric mobility and development and application of technologies designed by the company.

By promoting electric mobility and alternative energy solutions, Formula E also allows Efacec to consolidate its contribution to the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Currently, the company contributes to more than 11 of the 17 goals proposed.

After participating in this event, the company developed in Portugal the “Formula Efacec” initiative for university students and recent graduates, with a special focus on the areas of Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics. Young people from Portuguese universities were invited to accept the challenge of thinking about the future of energy, mobility and the environment, fundamental areas where Efacec operates worldwide.

Efacec offers a complete range of EV chargers for the private, public, fast and ultra-fast segments. Attributes such as innovation and high performance reflect a portfolio in constant development that responds to the most demanding and emerging needs of the market.

The company is actively present in the largest electric mobility markets, with an emphasis on Europe and the United States. Efacec is also attentive to other markets, especially Asia, Latin America and Oceania, where it is already dominant in some countries.

Two years ago, Efacec inaugurated a new electric mobility unit that reflects its commitment to productive capacity, R&D, innovation and product engineering.

With an extensive presence in the Energy, Mobility and Environment value chain, Efacec acts as a provider of integrated EPC (Engineering, Procurement and Construction) solutions and systems and an O&M (Operations & Maintenance) service partner. Efacec is present in strategic markets such as Europe, the United States of America, Latin America, Asia, the Middle East, the Maghreb and Sub-Saharan Africa.
