The event takes place between 12 and 15 June, in Italy

Efacec’s innovation and technology will once again be present at CIRED 2023 – International Energy Forum and Exhibition, which is being held from 12 to 15 June in Rome and brings together the world’s main electricity distribution players.

Efacec will be exhibiting its range of energy products, with a special focus on the Transformers, Switchgear and Automation areas, which stand out for their numerous successes achieved at international level.

Efacec’s participation will also focus on exchange of knowledge, namely with Ana Cristina Aleixo, Automation R&D Coordinator, who will present paper 11222, on communication and protection of power networks, prepared in partnership with IT-Aveiro, INESC TEC, ARMIS and E-REDES: “Challenges and considerations for the design and implementation of a centralised protection and control solution for Medium Voltage networks”.

Paulo Viegas, ScateX# ADMS Product Management Manager, will focus his presentation on predictive management strategies for distribution networks, with the presentation of poster 10375: “The next generation of ADMS functions for the predictive management of DER”, prepared in partnership with INESC TEC, ARMIS and PH Energia.

After the launch of the neoGEN Switchgear product at the previous edition of CIRED, and fully aligned with the Agenda for Energy Transition, Efacec is preparing the launch of environmentally sustainable solutions (SF6-free for secondary distribution) as well as the presentation of GreenGear36 (GIS equipment for primary distribution without greenhouse gases), contributing to the reliability and continuity of an increasingly electrified world.

At CIRED 2023, Efacec will also be presenting its range of Automation solutions for the protection and control of electrical power networks at all voltage levels. This is a diversified set of products that includes substation controllers and gateways (UC/HMI 500 range), protection and control IEDs (TPU 500/450/430/220 ranges) and process level units and merging units (MCU 500), among others.

In the Automation area, Efacec will show the latest version of its product ScateX# ADMS, for distribution network management.

The Modular Transformer will be one of the highlights of the event, thus proving the company’s relevance in the Transformers area, establishing itself as a world reference in the design and manufacture of power, distribution and mobile substation transformers, awarded by the Red Dot Awards in 2021. This transformer combines design excellence with a complex industrial product, allowing the same equipment to receive new functionalities at the rhythm of the customer’s needs, constituting a sustainable solution prepared for digitalisation.

Also of note is the exhibition of the SCALE project and its promising results, valued for its innovation and for having promoted the development of a new centralised and virtualised protection, automation and control solution for the digital High/Medium Voltage substations of the future.
