A pioneer in electric mobility and worldwide leader in fast and ultra-fast chargers for electric vehicles, Efacec reinforces its position in the global market in Brazil.

One of the world’s leading manufacturers of electric vehicle charging infrastructure, with presence in more than 40 countries, Efacec is present in the project of a passageway with electric recharging stations, at the Presidente Dutra Highway, the main corridor of Brazil, in operation from 23 of July.

This initiative, promoted by EDP and BMW Group Brazil, enables the first complete trip in an electric vehicle between the cities of São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro.

With an investment of more than 200 thousand euros, this project aims to initiate the transformation of Brazil’s transportation model, by assuring a total autonomy of the electric vehicles.

Six fast-loading stations were stationed at fuel stations between the two Brazilian cities, three in each direction of the highway, at 120 kilometres each.

Efacec QC45 equipment, supplied by Electric Mobility Brazil, are available with the three types of plugs in the world, and ensure the supply of all models of electric vehicles used in Brazil.

The use of these equipment’s will be free in the first six months of operation, the costs will be decided between the companies and applied only from next year.

According to the promoters of the project, the cost of the trip is about a quarter of the value with fuel. Given that the estimated time to supply a vehicle with a 22 KWh battery is 25 minutes to 80% of the load.  At each station it is possible to recharge two vehicles at the same time, and motorbikes can also use the device.

Efacec has been at the frontline, anticipating solutions and marking its presence in some of the world’s leading electric mobility projects.

With a large value chain, Efacec acts in the generation, distribution and transmission of energy; design, engineering, construction and maintenance of integrated systems (EPC – Engineering, Procurement and Contracting) for the energy, environment, industry and railways sectors; and development of Electric Mobility solutions and their commercialization. The Efacec Group is present in strategic markets such as Europe, the United States of America, Latin America, Asia, the Maghreb and South Africa.
