Efacec sponsors the Lisbon Mobi Summit, one of the most important events in urban mobility. Among the keynote speakers were: Ângelo Ramalho, CEO of Efacec, Pedro Silva, Director of the Electric Mobility and Nuno Silva, Director of Innovation and Technology.

The event takes place between 13th and 16th September in SUD Lisboa and in Central Tejo, Belem. This summit aims to show the latest advances in urban mobility. Visitors can attend plenary sessions and workshops, experience the mobility of the future, virtual and augmented reality, electric cars test drives, several games and even experience self-driving vehicles.

During the event, Efacec presented the partnership – for three years – with DS TECHEETAH Formula E Team, the holder of the Formula E Driver’s title. Formula E is the largest electric car competition in the world, organized by the International Automobile Federation (FIA).

The official announcement of this future partnership took place at the Electricity Museum in Lisbon and was attended by Ângelo Ramalho, Efacec CEO and Mark Preston, Team Principal – DS TECHEETAH Formula E Team. The highlight of the session was the presentation of the car used by the team in the 2017/2018 Season of the competition, marking the unprecedented presence of a car of this type in Portugal.

For Efacec, entry into Formula E has three objectives: brand projection and positioning; business development platform, comprehensively and not exclusively in electric mobility, on five continents; a platform for the development and application of technologies designed by Efacec.

This strategic commitment is also in line with Efacec’s objective of entering the market of countries in the Asia Pacific region.

China is one of the world’s leading electric mobility markets, accounting for about half of the global market for electric vehicles and chargers. At the end of 2017, it already had more than 400 thousand charging stations, which demonstrates the continuous commitment in the development of public and private infrastructures in this field.

With a comprehensive value chain, Efacec acts in the generation, distribution, and transmission of energy; design, engineering, construction and maintenance of integrated systems (EPC – Engineering, Procurement, and Contracting) for the energy, environment, industry and transport sectors; and development of Electric Mobility solutions and its commercialization.

Efacec is present in strategic markets such as Europe, the United States of America, Latin America, Maghreb and Africa.
