The solution submitted to the Vista Alegre /Atlantis Group, which in 2001 originated the creation of the Tableware and Giftware most important national group - sixth on an international scale, was developed for decoration products warehousing and to enable the Vista Alegre Group to meet the challenge of an even more competitive, dynamic and innovative market requiring greater manufacturing output and strengthening of manufacturing capabilities.

To achieve this objective, Vista Alegre introduced the management pull flow concept (production management philosophy focusing on market ) , increasing material flux and reducing lead time.

EFACEC Automação e Robotica , aware of that goal, submitted a project to modify the already implemented system operating since 1992, as that system (presently, the white products warehouse) had been conceived for former and obsolete manufacturing procedures , redefining and renewing the totality of the automated warehouse operating procedures .

This renewed warehouse is expected to reach a 40 % rise in storage capacity, resized in accordance with the new manufacturing capacity, ensuring the preparation of an output of 27 orders every 20 minutes. It will be integrated in the pull flow chain from the component warehouse to the final products one.
