With its long history and many important accomplishments and achievements, Efacec is today a highly internationalized company with a strong worldwide presence and recognized for its excellence and its unique expertise in numerous areas.

In these last years, the company has deeply reinforced its internationalization process, focusing on a global presence, perchance one of the most significant among Portuguese companies, which has highly increased its exposure to several markets and sectors while also reinforcing its levels of demand. It has done so during a period in which the world underwent significant changes and difficult times, highlighted by profound international crises, both on a political and economic level, imposing twice the competitiveness and profitability challenges for all companies.

The development of Efacec’s internationalization, along with the achievement of adequate profitability levels, is one of the most impactful characteristics of the strategic development cycle that Efacec is currently going through.

As a result of the challenges placed by the shareholders of Efacec – Group José de Mello and Group Têxtil Manuel Gonçalves –, I have no doubts in stating that the company clearly identifies the markets where it is and should be present and which systems, solutions, products and services can add value and differentiation, being always aware of potential new geographical areas and strengthening partnerships that represent an asset for the fulfillment of its main strategic goals.

Since this company possesses an excellent human capital, I must, on the other hand, acknowledge the effort that Efacec has made in developing the management skills of employees that are more directly involved in business, contract and project management. These skills are particularly important in the current economic framework and must cover technical, human and entrepreneurship aspects, which are all deeply written in the company’s genetic code.

I believe that Efacec is and will be increasingly prepared to continue structuring pools of expertise in Portugal and in the countries where it operates.

I am also certain that the employees of Efacec, representing over 30 nationalities, are highly motivated towards success, focused on global ambition, approaches and behaviors, which are the basis for a philosophy of change, flexibility, innovation and constant improvement based on merit and personal performance.
