Efacec

Segments

Market segmenting is the result of dividing a market into small groups. This process is obtained by acknowledging that the total market represents a set of groups featuring distinct characteristics known as segments.

Aiming at obtaining consolidated Management information that will allow a global vision of Efacec’s positioning in the main Market Segments, a set of 75 Base Segments, grouped into various levels was established. 13 Macro segments corresponded to a higher level.

Bearing in mind that Efacec's activity focuses on some specific markets, some of these markets are afforded greater detail, that is, disaggregation from said Macro segments.

The definition of these Macro segments and of their different levels is similar to that followed by the Standard Industrial Classification (Portuguese and American). However, there are some adjustments that afford greater mapping in relation to the types of activities that Efacec performs, as well as their details, with the aim of obtaining more accurate information.

The chosen structure is rather flexible, thus allowing greater detail in a given Macro segment, if it shows increasing interest in the future.
